Exploring the present by reimagining the past

Welcome to my gallery. My paintings investigate the potential of art as a tool to grasp the full meaning of family memories. Starting with an archival family photograph, they branch out into thematic explorations of war, survival, immigration, family life, and leisure.

My parents were European Jews who came to Montreal Canada in the mid 1930s. Although they escaped Hitler's terror, they both lost many family members in the Holocaust. While much of my work draws from my own family's archives, I welcome commissions to help others preserve what they love.

Whether it’s a portrait, a family home, a beloved pet, a wedding, or a cherished memory, I can bring these elements to life through the eyes of an artist who understands your story.
